At the YMCA we pride ourselves in offering a variety of fitness opportunities for all levels. Senior Fitness provides our elder members the chance to get fit whether it be in chair yoga, or one of our cardio and strength centered classes. Instructors help members find modifications to suit their physical needs.
Whatever your goal, our nationally certified coaches will provide plans, coaching and motivation to help you succeed. Your first meeting with a trainer will consist of a health history questionnaire, addressing your goals, and a 30 minute training session. All sessions after are 30 minutes.
Training sessions are available to member and nonmember individuals and small groups. Call the YMCA or email lhammond@ymcaswv.org to receive information on pricing and scheduling your first session.
Whether you’re new to fitness or needing some new inspiration, an Activate orientation is the perfect place to start. A YMCA staff member will meet with you one-on-one to discuss performance-based goals, familiarize you with our facility offerings, and figure out a plan that will work for you. A follow up meeting will also be scheduled to check in, tweak your workout plan if necessary, and answer any questions. Schedule by emailing lhammond@ymcaswv.org.
